Emma Rehac

Emma Rehac is a New York City based community organizer and photographer in her senior year of high school. She studies at the International Center of Photography and teaches elementary school students photography. Emma also works with community-based organizations in their design and media departments. As an Asian girl living in Harlem with a white, immigrant, single mother, Emma developed a unique and intersectional perspective of the world. Through photography, she engages with themes surrounding identity and explores the crossroads between culture and policy. Emma’s distinct background motivates her to utilize the camera as a tool to amplify the voices, stories, and experiences of those typically neglected.
