Kalena Burwell
Kalena Burwell is a photographer, mixed media artist, and writer born and raised in New York. She is a senior at the High School of Fashion Industries, majoring in art. In their life, creative avenues have played a prominent role in understanding the world. It has been their medium to dilute the complexity of people and their introspection. Throughout Burwell’s work, they explore ideas of self-expression, identity, otherness, and desperation for the sake of being heard in a world they don’t feel they belong to.
