Karyna Maldonado
Karyna Maldonado was born and raised in New York City. She is an artist working in photography and fashion design. Since middle school, she has studied art and design and is currently a student at New Design High School where she is a junior. Her love for photography is influenced by the Lower East Side and Soho, where most of her pictures are made. Her mother, Melba, who at a young age made photos of her home in Ecuador, is an important influence. Karyna uses themes such as family, friendship, identity, and feminism in her portraits and mixed media.
