Lena Likhtina
Lena Likhtina was born in Revda, Russia and moved to New York City at the age of four. She started making photographs on a hand-me-down Sony and moved on to disposable cameras which introduced her to film photography early in high school. Inspired by old family albums and the stories behind them, she captures close moments with her chosen patchwork family to preserve a new generation of memories. Although most of her work is in analog black-and-white, she is warming up to digital photography and video as other ways to create meaningful work. She hopes to pursue a Fine Arts degree later this year.
