Ruby Klawans
Ruby Klawans is a photographer born and raised in New York City. She is a senior at Heschel High School. Surrounded by art from a young age, she hadn’t always loved art in the way she does now since discovering analog photography in high school. Through her studies at the International Center of Photography, Klawans focuses on portraiture, documentary, and landscape photography. Her subjects include friends, family, social justice, self-exploration, feminism, and mental health. She makes images of internal struggles and the strength that comes with them. Klawans uses photography as a safe place of self-expression, helping her understand her emotions and experiences.
