Sebastian Reents

I am always looking for new angles on the architecture I encounter. My project combines surrealism with architecture by using the sky as a background to evoke a dreamlike quality. I aim to capture a futuristic side of the architecture we see daily through an emphasis on making the viewer feel transported to another place. Many of the shots are upward-facing, an angle I like since it seems these structures extend endlessly toward the sky, unbound by the world beneath them. The vastness of it adds to the transcendent nature of my photos that conveys the sense of peace I wish to evoke. Through my photography, I hope to convey a sense of calm and serenity while making the viewer further appreciate the architecture around them.

He started photographing around 2019 but became a more serious hobby after he attended an International Center of Photography summer course.
